This model also includes 3 inch FOX Racing Shox with an internal bypass technology to allow for variable damping rates for beastly off road performance but a super smooth on road ride.

The Torsen front differential improves off road capability. It transfers torque to the stable wheel before slippage occurs to increase grip on the front end. This allows the Raptor to easily climb over objects and travel up steep inclines.

Engine and Transmission Specs

The 2017 Raptor sports a new twin turbo, 24 valve intercooled DOHC. It has a high output 3.5L EcoBoost for direct fuel injection to deliver more power than ever before. The transmission is a 10-speed automatic that includes a manual shift mode to send power to the front and rear wheels all at once. The new Terrain Management System lets a driver select six preset modes for optimal driving depending on the environment. Some of the settings include Mud, Sand and Baja.
