Meet the 2017 Ford Raptor
If you have been waiting for a new Ford truck, this is the new toughest F-150 ever made. It has so many amazing features to make off road seem like on road.
Innovative Body Design
The designers of this model of truck have hit it on the mark. The boxed steel frame is high strength and combined with a military grade aluminum alloy to reduce the weight by 500 pounds. This gives the high performance vehicle a true advantage over others.
The exterior is beefy and masculine with several available upgrades. The tailgate appliqué is quite large and covers the tailgate from side to side with the name Ford F-150 Raptor. It is available in a single or a super crew cab to accommodate more passengers. Hood graphics include a scoop on the center rear of the hood and black trim on each side to create an image much like a race car.
Off Road Package
The new Raptor has a better running clearance than previous models. A new four-wheel drive transfer case with torque on demand manages the power distribution between rear and front wheels. This model also includes 3 inch FOX Racing Shox with an internal bypass technology to allow for variable damping rates for beastly off road performance but a super smooth on road ride.
The Torsen front differential improves off road capability. It transfers torque to the stable wheel before slippage occurs to increase grip on the front end. This allows the Raptor to easily climb over objects and travel up steep inclines.
Engine and Transmission Specs
The 2017 Raptor sports a new twin turbo, 24 valve intercooled DOHC. It has a high output 3.5L EcoBoost for direct fuel injection to deliver more power than ever before. The transmission is a 10-speed automatic that includes a manual shift mode to send power to the front and rear wheels all at once. The new Terrain Management System lets a driver select six preset modes for optimal driving depending on the environment. Some of the settings include Mud, Sand and Baja.
2017 Raptor Wheels
Ford Indianapolis showcases the beadlock wheels for maximum performance and a super tough appearance. The beauty of this is that you can deflate the tires easily for maximum traction while you off road. The tires still hold onto the rim tightly and stay tight when returning to the road. The tires are 17 inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tires and were designed especially for this model of Raptor.
If you enjoy the thrill of off road driving, you need to come experience the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor. This truck will wow your friends with the beefy and tough exterior while you blow them away in off road contests. You can “go further” at Ford Indianapolis in a Raptor. These models are expected to sell quickly so you may want to make certain you can get one now or order one.
